A new smartphone app keeps beachgoers up to date on Great Lakes beach conditions. The myBeachcast app supplies hourly reports from beach databases. At this time only beaches in Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan are accessible. Additionally, the app provides a five-day forecast, weather conditions, and wave height. MyBeachcast is available for Android phones, with an iPhone version soon to follow. For users who don’t have Android smartphones, a website with myBeachcast features will be coming soon. MyBeachcast was created by the Great Lakes Commission located in Ann Arbor Michigan.
