Record sturgeon caught in British Columbia

A 12 foot 4 inch White Sturgeon was recently caught in the Fraser River in British Columbia, Canada. Estimated at 1,100 pounds before it was released, it is believed to be the largest fish ever caught in North America. The White Sturgeon is the largest freshwater fish in North America and the third largest species of sturgeon in the world.
